Maria Zolotova, Attorney at Law, practices tax and corporate law at Levy Salis LLP, where she advises Canadian and international clients on a wide range of Canadian and cross-border tax matters.
Ms. Zolotova is involved in corporate reorganizations, asset-holding structures, trust formation, as well as estate planning and wealth preservation, particularly for non-resident clients or those with beneficiaries established abroad.
She also assists clients with business acquisitions and dispositions, including intergenerational transfers and transactions involving non-residents. Ms. Zolotova represents her clients’ interests before tax authorities during audits, negotiations, and objection proceedings.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., 2019) from the Université de Montréal and a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M. Tax, 2022) from HEC Montréal, and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2020.
Having pursued studies in London, Saint Petersburg, Paris, and Montreal, Ms. Zolotova advises clients in French, English, and Russian, working within a multidisciplinary and international legal environment.
